Onsen Hoyo Land is located in Myoban Onsen resorts and surrounded by hot spring steam in the mountains. It has several mud baths and one of them is a large outdoor bath. There is nothing like the peloid of Hoyo Land in the world and the effect is well known. It is especially good for skin.
Hoyo Land used to be called Kon-ya Jigoku which was mentioned in the regional chronicle “Bungo Hudoki” in the 8th century. It has a long history and was visited by Kukai, also known as Kobo-Daishi (774-835AD).
